Personal Journey at Finnplay
I came to Finnplay while looking for new work opportunities in Finland. With the great support from the team, I was able to gradually master my work and grow into my role.
When I first started, I was leading just the BO team with three members. Today, I manage both the Back Office and Frontend teams, with over ten people in total. It’s been a rewarding journey of growth and learning.
One moment that makes me especially proud is knowing that the product we’re building is used by millions of users. That kind of real-world impact is incredibly motivating.
An unexpected skill I’ve picked up here is learning how to manage teams across multiple regions and cultures — something I hadn’t done before but have come to really value.
Of course, there have been challenges. One of the biggest has been understanding the complexity of our business logic. Luckily, the team’s deep knowledge and support helped me through it.
If I had to describe my journey at Finnplay in three words: professional, teamwork, humanization.
Life at Finnplay
What I enjoy most about working at Finnplay is the strong sense of teamwork. Everyone is aligned and works well together, and that makes a big difference.
One of the most memorable experiences for me was our summer party in Nuuksio. It was a great opportunity to spend relaxed time with the team and connect beyond work.
What really stands out in our work culture is the clear direction we have as a company, the great collaboration within teams, and the refreshing lack of politics.
In the office, my favourite spot is the small focus room — perfect for when you need to concentrate and get things done.
Beyond Work
My biggest motivation at work is my family. They inspire me to do my best every day.
After a busy day, I love to unwind by swimming in the sea during the summertime. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and recharge.
